Popayán Decaf

Popayán decaf from the Department of Cauca, grown between 1,500 and 2,070 metres. That upper elevation is among the highest you'll find for Colombian decaf, and it shows in the complexity. Washed and sugarcane processed. Orange peel and dried apricot provide the fruit notes. Malt biscuit and milk chocolate hold the body together. A more layered profile than most Popayán decafs manage, likely because of that altitude range pushing the beans to develop more slowly.
