Decaf El Vergel

El Vergel in Tolima is one of Colombia's most respected farms, and Atkinsons have made it their decaf pick. Red and Yellow Caturra grown at 1,550 metres, sugarcane EA decaffeinated. Toffee sweetness sits up front, plum adds a fruit edge, and it finishes on shortbread. Their importer Forest Coffee moved a full 1,680 kilos of this lot, which tells you something about demand. Omni roasted, so it works equally well as espresso, filter, or anything in between. Packed full of flavour is how Atkinsons describe it. The tasting notes back that up.
