Coffee is a staple in many of our daily routines. Decaffeinated options are earning their rightful place in the mix, but finding the good stuff isn't always easy.

That's what decaffeinate is for. We're an independent guide to specialty decaf coffee in the UK, listing 95 coffees from 121 independent roasters. No house brand. No sponsorship bias. Every coffee here was chosen because it's worth drinking, and every link goes straight to the roaster.

Why decaf?

The quality, depth and diversity of decaf coffee today is remarkable. Advances in decaffeination (Swiss Water, Sugar Cane, CO₂) mean the integral flavour profiles are preserved. Whether you're avoiding caffeine for health reasons, personal preference, or simply want to enjoy coffee later in the day, there's never been a better time to drink decaf.

What we believe

We believe decaf deserves the same attention as any other specialty coffee. We support roasters and methods that are sustainable, and we only feature roasters who ensure fair wages, ethical practices and good working conditions for farmers and workers in the supply chain.

Who's behind this?

decaffeinate is run by a small team of coffee lovers in the UK. Si handles the website and operations. Sami is our decaf ambassador. Joe is head of coffee. Between us, we drink a lot of decaf.
